BREAKING: $2.1m Land Dispute: Court Orders Wike’s Son To Produce US Passport

An FCT High Court sitting in Maitama has ordered Jordan Wike, son of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to produce his American international passport before the court.

Justice Sylvanus Oriji issued the order on Tuesday during the resumed hearing of a suit filed by Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Ltd.
The suit, marked CV/008/2026, followed allegations by the claimants that Jordan represented that he could facilitate the acquisition of 30 hectares of land each in Katampe and Guzape, Abuja.
The claimants alleged that Jordan demanded $2.1 million in facilitation fees, comprising $2 million purportedly for his father and $100,000 for himself.
They claimed the money was delivered on September 26, 2025, in the presence of Adamu Sani, Aliyu Sarki and Sai Wani, while Jordan was allegedly accompanied by Onor Sandy.
According to the claimants, Jordan failed to facilitate the acquisition of the properties or refund the money after receiving the funds.
Jordan, however, denied the allegations and adopted his statement on oath during Tuesday’s proceedings. He was represented by Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Ogwu Onoja.
During cross-examination, claimants’ counsel, Hamza Dantani, asked Jordan about his whereabouts on September 26, 2025.
Jordan told the court that he was outside Nigeria and, when asked which passport he used to travel, said he travelled with his American international passport.
He further told the court that he could produce the passport if required.
Following the response, Dantani applied for an order compelling Jordan to produce the document in court.
Justice Oriji granted the application and directed Jordan to produce the American passport.
Earlier, Dantani had also asked the court to direct Jordan to write his full name and signature five times each on a plain sheet of paper. The application was not opposed by the defence and was granted by the judge.
The court adjourned the matter until Wednesday for continuation of the hearing.
