The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved the deployment of Commissioners of Police (CPs) to various state commands and strategic formations across the country as part of efforts to strengthen operational efficiency and enhance leadership within the Nigeria Police Force.
The deployment, which received the approval of the Police Service Commission (PSC), is aimed at consolidating ongoing reforms, improving intelligence-led policing, and repositioning the Force for more effective service delivery.
Under the new postings, CP Afolabi Wilfred Olutokunbo has been deployed to Abia State Command, CP Ayodeji Faniyan to Plateau State, CP Saka Adewale Ajao to Bayelsa State, CP Ajo Geofrey Ordue to Cross River State, CP Nanna Oji Ama to Anambra State, CP Patrick Daaor to Edo State, CP Tani Murtala to Jigawa State, and CP Samuel Erale to Delta State.

According to the postings, CP Yemi John Oyeniyi will serve as Commissioner of Police, Intelligence and Training, FID, Abuja, while CP Charles Ezekwesiri Dike takes charge of INTERPOL at the FCID, Abuja. Other key appointments include CP Uduak Ita Otu, CP Abdullateef Ajape Yusuf, CP Taiwo A. Adedeji, CP Ajayi Oluyemi, CP Bolanle Aremu, CP Ibrahim Lukunche Usman, CP Mohammed Hassan Ahmed, CP Rita Oyintare Oki, CP Ibrahim Umar D. Zungura, CP Nelson Nwamana, CP Akingbade C. The IGP charged the newly deployed senior officers to leverage their experience in strengthening intelligence-led policing, improving operational effectiveness, promoting professionalism, and fostering stronger community engagement.
He also urged them to remain committed to protecting lives and property while maintaining the highest standards of discipline, accountability, and service delivery.
The Nigeria Police Force said the latest deployments form part of its broader reform agenda aimed at enhancing internal capacity, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring more effective policing services for Nigerians.
