Viral Video of Armed Men on Motorcycles Lands IGP Disu in Trouble as Nigerians Demand Four Answers
Following the Nigeria Police Force’s clarification that the heavily armed men seen in a viral video were members of a vigilante group and registered hunters, concerns and questions have continued to emerge from members of the public.

Critics have called on The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM to provide further explanations on several issues, including:
1. Why members of a vigilante group were allegedly dressed in military-style uniforms.
2. The legality of vigilante members or hunters carrying what appeared to be heavy machine guns and other sophisticated firearms.
3. Why some of the individuals were masked and did not wear clearly identifiable uniforms commonly associated with recognized vigilante groups.
4. Why the armed men were seen moving noisily on public roads while displaying firearms, an action some observers described as constituting a public nuisance.
Concerned citizens have also questioned how individuals identified as hunters could be permitted to possess weapons that are generally prohibited for civilian use, urging the authorities to provide more detailed clarification on the matter.
The Nigeria Police Force had earlier stated that the individuals captured in the video were registered hunters and vigilante personnel, dismissing claims that they were terrorists or insurgents.
