‘May Allah Curse Tinubu And Anyone Supporting Him’ – Northern Cleric Attacks President During Sermon

A northern Islamic cleric, Mallam Saleh Muhammad Jimeta, has launched a verbal attack on President Bola Tinubu, describing him as an “infidel” and calling for Allah to place curses on the Nigerian leader and his supporters.

The cleric made the controversial remarks during a Friday Khutbah, an Islamic sermon delivered during the weekly congregational prayer.
In a video obtained by Naija News House, Jimeta questioned Tinubu’s presence in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, insisting that the people there would have rejected the President if they knew what he described as his true religious identity.
“May Allah curse Tinubu. He is in Mecca now. The people in Mecca do not know who he is; if they knew, they would have chased him away. He is an infidel in Mecca. Infidels are not allowed to enter Mecca. Tinubu is an infidel,” the cleric said.
He extended his call for curses to people backing the President’s administration, declaring, “May Allah curse anyone who supports Tinubu.”
Moving on to another subject, Jimeta challenged a statement attributed to Tinubu about Moses and Egypt, repeatedly questioning the President’s declaration that “Moses will never come back to Egypt.”
He alleged that Tinubu made the comment the previous week and claimed that the President’s wife, Remi Tinubu, had earlier expressed a similar position.
“The same thing his wife Remi said before. After all, she was the one who taught him,” Jimeta said.
The cleric disclosed that he had already issued a response to the statement, insisting that Moses would eventually return to Egypt.
“I, Jimeta, gave him an answer. Sooner or later, Moses shall return to Egypt for further liberation,” he said.
He further suggested that Tinubu would have been disturbed if he had heard his response.
Jimeta ended that segment of his sermon by asking his congregation to reflect on the identities represented by Moses and Egypt in the President’s reported statement.
“But before he told us, ‘Moses will never come back to Egypt,’ what did he mean? Who is Moses? What is Egypt?” he asked.
