Tension In Katsina As Angry Residents Reportedly Attack Radda’s Convoy, Set APC Campaign Vehicle Ablaze
Political tension has reportedly escalated in Katsina State after some residents of Yankara town in Faskari Local Government Area allegedly attacked Governor Dikko Umaru Radda’s convoy and set an APC campaign vehicle ablaze.
The incident occurred on Saturday during the governor’s campaign tour of the community.
According to reports, the affected vehicle, which carried photographs of APC candidates, was set on fire and completely destroyed by the attackers.

Radda was reportedly visiting the area to highlight his administration’s achievements and solicit support ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The development comes barely three days after a similar incident was reported in Malumfashi LGA, further raising questions about public reactions to political campaigns and the security situation in the state.
The incidents have sparked fresh concerns about political hostility as Katsina prepares for the 2027 elections.
